Abstract

A protective sleeping garment for extreme cold has a padded bib front to allow the sleeper to withdraw his arms from the sleeves into the body of the garment. The bib front offers greater width to the coat-like top, and may be folded away between the couplings of a sliding clasp fastener. The coat-like top is fastened to a sleeping bag bottom by means of "Velcro"(RTM) ribbon or press-studs. On waking, the wearer may use the padded arms of the top for various tasks without leaving the sleeping bag.
