Abstract

Two frame members (1), of the piece of furniture are joined together by welding to a corner bracket (2). A threaded bush (4) is welded into the end of the leg (3) which is also made of hollow section tube. The leg (3) is fixed to the frame by a screw (5) and washer (6) which screws into the bush. This method gives a more stable assembly than methods using angle brackets directly screwed into the frame and leg.

Description

The present invention relates to the field of manufacturing tables for office or industrial use, and relates to a device for fixing the feet on the frame of a table, as well as any frame mounting which can be used for the assembly of furniture.

 your office tables, or the like, currently existing are generally constituted by a support frame for the table top, and by legs fixed to this frame by means of screws. For this purpose, the frame is in the form of square or rectangular profiles connected to each other at the corners of the frame by screwing a t-shaped piece, and the base, which is also in the form of a profile, is provided in its upper internal part of a nut welded to an appropriate corner piece, this nut being able to cooperate with a screw passing through the corner piece of the frame.

However, such a method of fixing the feet does not allow good mounting stability, since there is practically only one point of application of the clamping force on the foot.

The object of the present invention is to overcome this drawback.

 It has, in fact, for its object a device for fixing the legs to the frame of a table essentially constituted by a threaded socket welded into the table leg at two opposite corners of this leg, the angle of the frame of the table being connected to the foot by a tightening bolt cooperating with the threaded socket.

The invention will be better understood from the following description, which relates to a preferred embodiment, given by way of nonlimiting example, and explained with reference to the appended schematic drawing, the single figure of which is a plan view of the device according to the invention.

The frame of the table, partially shown in the drawing, consists of profiled elements 1 square, rectangular or round, which are connected together, at the corners, by means of a corner piece 2 welded on the two elements l. The frame thus formed is connected at each corner to a foot 3 by means of a fixing device constituted by a threaded socket 4 welded to the inside of the foot 3 in two opposite corners, and by a screw 5 passing through the piece d angle 2 and allows the tightening, possibly with the interposition of a washer 6, of the foot 3 on the frame in cooperation with the socket 4.

 The mounting according to the invention allows better stability of the foot fixed on the frame, and therefore, greater rigidity of the whole, in the form of a desk, table, workbench, counter, or any other furniture.

 Of course, the invention is not limited to the embodiment described and shown in the accompanying drawing. Modifications remain possible, in particular from the point of view of the constitution of the various elements, or by substitution of technical equivalents, without thereby departing from the scope of protection of the invention.

Claims (1)

 -REVENDICLTI0N- Device for fixing the legs to the frame of a table, characterized in that it consists essentially of a threaded socket welded into the leg of the table at two opposite corners of this leg, and by a screw passing through the piece of angle of the table frame, to cooperate with the threaded socket, possibly with the interposition of a washer.
