Abstract

Caterpillar tracks for caterpillar vehicles which are provided with protruding webs and are used on a soft undersurface, such as for example snow or mud, have hitherto essentially suffered from the disadvantage of a relatively large degree of wear. In a caterpillar track for caterpillar vehicles, the webs (6a) which protrude away from a caterpillar track (3) are to consist of an extruded aluminium profile and to be provided with a wear-resistant metal inlay (11). Webs (6a) of this kind are easy and cost-effective to produce and have a high degree of resistance to wear.
