Abstract

The solar heater is for washing water, and has a flat vessel with a bottom inlet and a top outlet for the water. The vessel (1) is of material inert to washing water, or coated internally with such material. On the side towards the sun it has a radiation-absorbent coating, wh ile its rear side is heat-insulated. In cross-section the vessel can be lens-shaped, comprising two arched sheet-metal sections welded together, while stiffening ribs can be provided on the rear wall at least.
