Abstract

The craft has a cylindrical hull which lies horizontally in the water and is fitted with pointed ends. The cylinder is made from flexible inflatable material or from rigid metallic or plastics material. The craft may be fitted with outrigger floats for stabilisation and may carry a manually operated pair of paddle wheels (7) actuated by pedals on a crank. The craft also has a rudder fixed to a tiller. The craft may be fitted with a mast step for conversion to a sailing vessel with the provision for a centre plate.
