Abstract

Straight or branched tubes with semi-rigid accordion profile bodies ending in smooth rigid socket or spigot couplings are moulded from e.g. polyamide resin to provide tough junctions or terminals for tubes for e.g. medical infusion, foodstuff dispensers, aquarium fittings. Opt. the system includes flow control fittings, pref. needle valves. Tubes are tougher than glass, more flexible axially or flexurally than glass or metal fittings, less susceptible to being pinched than rubber tubing. The moulded tubes are coupled by elastic, flexible sleeves.
