Abstract

The sheath is for an umbrella, and is fitted to the interior of a car body to protect the umbrella and keep it clean. It has an integral water drainage channel (5) at the bottom and is fixed to the car by a rod, allowing it to pivot so that residual water can be drained off. The sheath is rigid or semi-rigid and has a flat back, fitting against the support. The other walls are curved to fit the umbrella. The rod fits through a hole (8) in a foot (7) at the closed end of the sheat.
