Abstract

Two or more spaced metal profiles are linked by heat-insulating cores fixed in their grooves, in the composite profile, esp. for window or door frames, or facades. In production the cores are inserted, and them clamped with the profile stem piece bordering the grooves. The metal profiles (1, 2) are made in a single peice with one or more metal bridging stems (15). When cores (9, 10) have been clamped, the stems are removed. Exact spacing between metal profiles can be maintained, and production is simplified, with no need for complex support devices.
