Abstract

The angular posn. detector includes an emitting synchronous machine (10) comprising three stator coils (1, 2, 3) offset w.r.t. each other by 120 degrees. These have one common connection (4) and three second connections (11, 12, 13). Inside the stator is a monophase rotor (5) mechanically coupled to the pivoting element, and electrically coupled to an alternating supply (16). The output terminals of two of the coils (12, 13) are connected to the primary (21) of a transformer (20). The secondary winding has a mid-point (22) between two ends (23, 24), connected to one of the alternating source conductors (18). Two bridge rectifiers (25, 26) are connected between the second alternating source conductor (17) and the ends (23, 24) of the transformer secondary. The outputs of the two rectifiers supply the coils (27, 28) of a display meter (30). The meter displays the difference between the currents passing through the two coils (28, 27).
