Abstract

The control and display system for vehicle electrical services and maintaining system is intended to handle automatically the large number of information sources such as sensors associated with the various vehicle functions found in modern vehicles. Information from the sensors etc is transmitted to a central unit as coded data via a single wire which is also used to supply the various sensors and services with power and to carry commands to the services. All the data sources and the central unit acting as a processor are paralleled onto this wire, each sensor having communication with the central unit as part of a sequence with the remaining sensors. Each communication period is broken into a transmit and receive period the data streams having appropriate address signals.
