Abstract

The projectile comprises a case (1), the detonator being fixed at one end. The case is filled with an explosive charge (3), its upper part having a tapered conical hollow (4) provided with a similar liner (5) screwed into place and used to retain the charge. This internal thread (13) is continued downwards along the length of the casing for the full depth of the hollow charge, providing a zone of weakness and concentrating and improving the power of penetration. The head (14) of the projectile is screwed onto the casing, using the same internal thread.
