Abstract
The solar energy collector includes an internal tube (6) of glass and an external tube (7) also of glass ro similar material enclosing the greater part of the length of the inner tube. The space between these two tubes is normally evacuated, with a layer of absorbant material (8) covering teh surface of the inner tube. The ends (6b, 7b) of the two tubes are held in a support (4). The other end of the inner tube (6c) is held in a flexible joint (11) in a hole (10) in the wall of the main receiver (3). A concentric tube (12) fits inside the first two tubes, in order to facilitate the circulation of heat transport fluid. Spring arms (14) are provided on the innermost end of the inner tube (12) to centre it within the glass tube (6), and to avoid any risk of the inner tube hitting against the glass.
