Abstract
The air venting from the circulating water for an engine cooling system uses the upper chamber (3) of the radiator (4). ITs inlet is connected to the water outler (2) of the engine, and the outlet (6) of the lower chamber is connected to the pump. Across the interior of the upper chamber are partitions (9) made of a grid construction. These grids are thus in the path of the circulating water, and build-up the pressure and speed of flow to expel the air. The grids fit into guide slots and can be removed. The slots are incorporated in ribs (10) down the sides of the upper chamber.
