Abstract
The propellor blade has a metal armature made from aluminium alloy. The armature extends over the length of the blade and has an effective profile and a root. The root is protected by a reinforcing rib joined to the root by layered glass resin fibre. The thickness of the layers is reduced towards the upper part of the reinforcement. The thickness of the reinforcement may be varied according to the loading on the blade.
