Abstract
L'engin flottant a sa coque qui, en position de fonctionne ment, est complètement immergée et sur laquelle sont montées des colonnes creuses qui supportent, au dessus et au-dessous du niveau de l'eau, une structure de pont de travail qui porte une ou plusieurs grues de levage lourdes lourdes. Le système de stabilisation comprend des réservoirs ballats d'eau au-dessus et au dessous du niveau de l'eau. Les réservoirs sont associés par paires. Dans chaque paire, la décharge du réservoir supérieur et l'entrée d'eau dans le réservoir inférieur sont commandées sélectivement par des vannes de régulation en fonction des forces de déséqui-libre engendrées instantanément quand les grues hissent des charges. Les vannes de régulation des réservoirs ballasts inférieurs immergés sont des vannes d'entrée d'eau, les réservoirs étant par ailleurs isolés de l'eau environnante. Un dipositif de pom-page per met de pomper l'eau d'un réservoir inférieur dans un réservoir supérieur situé au-dessus du niveau de l'eau.
