Abstract

The fastener effects the temporary edge connection of two perpendicular vertical panels (2, 5) with mesh infill, being of the draw-bolt (32) type, and being used on collapsible panniers. Each panel has an edge frame of round section bar to which infill fabric is welded, the fastener connecting two adjacent frame posts (9, 19). One post (9) is bent into a local curved 'W' formation (12, 14, 1 6) in directions normal to the major panel plane, the adjacent post of the counter panel being bent into an internal trapezoidal trough shape (20, 21, 23) along a pannier plan diagonal or thereabouts. With the counter panel (2) vertical and one panel (5) pivoting up from the interior, the central 'W' angle (16) leads and passes behind the trough bar (20), the bolt (32) then sliding into the thus formed staple to secure the assembly.
