Abstract

The rigid frame has the shape of an inverted "U", the two legs of which are fixed to the back of a seat; and on the frame is a support surrounded by upholstery. A nut is fixed on the frame and contains a threaded spindle fitted with a knurled head via which the spindle is moved through the nut. By turning the spindle, the upholstered support can be moved forwards or backwards, i.e. in directions parallel with the longitudinal axis of the vehicle. Pref. the inverted U-frame is fitted with two bearings in which a rectangular frame can slide when the spindle is rotated; and the rectangular frame is fixed to the upholstered support.
