Abstract

The feed device for textile or fleecy sheets forming a stack has a large area suction plate raised and lowered by an actuator cylinder on top. Mounted on one end are two eccentric discs almost spanning the width of the stack, each with a needle projecting from it, to engage the top sheet. These eccentric discs are also operated by vertical cylinders mounted on the end of the suction plate. This disc and needle arrangement and the suction plate also operate with another device at one side. This has a rod which is carried to- and -fro under the suction plate by a carriage mounted on rollers moving along a hollow guide alongside the stack.
