Abstract

The heat-exchange system between a room and the outside incorporates one or more blocks (4) of high thermal inertia with opposite faces towards inside and outside. A thermal screen (28) is mounted between the block and the inside of the room, and adjustable shutters transmit heat through the screen between them. The block can be in the form of a tank containing liquid. On the inner face of the block there can be a thermal insulating frame forming openings extending for the entire block height and part of its width. The block is positioned behind a pane of glass which faces southwards.
