Abstract

The support for attaching a light fitting to a false ceiling has a circular base (11) with two parallel uprights (12) with steps (26) near the base. A tongue (15) is attached to each upright (12) by an elastic band (21). Each tongue has a tapped hole to receive a screw (23). The support is inserted into a circular hole in a false ceiling so that the tongues (15) are initially pressed against the uprights (12). After passing through the hole the tongues spring outwards and are then pulled downwards by the screws (23) so that the tips of the tongues abut against the upper surface of the false ceiling.
