Abstract

Dans ce dispositif de suspension du type MacPherson, le montage de l'extrémité supérieure comprend essentiellement une bague unique en élastomère 58 précontrainte en compression entre deux coquilles 74 et 76 fixées à la caisse 12 du véhicule. La collerette supérieure 44 de retenue du ressort hélicoïdal 40 est appuyée contre la face inférieure de la bague 58 par l'intermédiaire d'un roulement à billes 66, 62, 70 de sorte que la bague 58 travaille en compression dans cette fonction d'appui du ressort. La tige 36 du piston de l'amortisseur 32 est au contraire reliée à la bague 58 par une douille 64 à collerette 68 de sorte que la bague 58 travaille au cisaillement dans sa fonction d'accouplement de l'amortisseur. Ce mode de montage confère des caractéristiques de raideur différentes à l'amortisseur et au ressort. Application aux suspensions avant des automobiles.
