Abstract
The hydraulic machine for generating energy consists of a cylindrical shell with a pointed nose which can slide inside a cylinder with a small radial clearance. The lower end of the shell is immersed in a cylindrical tank. Additional water is pumped into the tank so that the water flows into the annulus between shell and cylinder causing the shell to float upwards. The shell is then allowed to fall and drives a rotor through cables as it descends. It is claimed that more energy is produced by the shell as it falls than is needed to pump the water to raise the shell.
