Abstract

The vehicle sun visor has a courtesy mirror bedded into its padding. One or two sliding flaps conceal the mirror when not in use so that vehicle occupants are protected against a sharp glass edges in the event of a crash. Small protrusions are used to move the flaps hich are made in a material having the same texture and colour as the sun visor. The mirror is inset into the padding of the visor, and the flaps are fitted over it to be flush with the major surface of the sun visor.
