Abstract
The mixts. are used for roadworks, civil engineering, or buildings, and contain blast furnace slag and other granulates or similar materials. The agent consists of a mixt. of dry or partly dehydrated gypsum to which is added, w.r.t. the wt. of the gypsum 10-24% Na2SO4 and 3.7-9% CaO. the final temp. of the mixt. being between room temp and 50 degrees C and the mixt. possessing a compsn. similar to that obtd. by adding NaOH to gypsum. The pref. mixt. contains gypsum with 13-20% Na2SO4 and 4.5-8% CaO, and the gypsum pref. has a size of 50-300 mu m. When using CaSO4, 1/2H2O, 13% Na2SO4 and 7% CaO are pref. used in the mixt. The resulting setting agent pref. forms 0.5-1.5% of the building mixt. of slag and granulate. As compared with conventional agents contg. gypsum and NaOH, the invention provides an agent which is less corrosive, less hygroscopic and of lower cost.
