Abstract

The heat exchange plate assembly is for heat pumps, esp. pumps where two parallel plates (2, 3) are employed. Each plate has wings (4) set at right angles to it, the thermal element being trapped between them. The overall assembly is held together around the thermal element by a spring clip (10) at each side of the two plates. The springs consist of a straight steel wire bent over at the end as a spring the straight section (9) fitting into a slot (11, 12) at each side of the two plates. The springs can be in the form of 'U' shaped clips with clawed ends.
