Abstract

The intra-uterine device for contraception and therapeutic purposes, has a part remaining in the uterus and an insertion part. The former has flexible arms with end head. Each arm (1-4) has top and bottom branches bearing against the wall of the uterus and comprising a strip of constant width single or double protrusions (5-9) in the form of supporting columns, allowing contact between branches and uterus wall. The end head can have two front bosses (5) forming a protrusion, and two rear ones (6) holding the insertion part (11).
