Abstract
The powdered sealant is a dielectric, and consists of an ultrafine, atomised mineral coated by a greasy agent, plus fine dried and sieved sand used as an aggregate. The pref. mineral is CaCO3 with grain size 0.07 mu m, coated with 3% stearic acid; and the pref. sealant consists of 32g of the coated CaCO3 cold mixed with 470g sand, so that each sand grain is coated with material, thus making the sand water repellent. The sealant is covered by a protective material ensuring the stability of the sealant; and the sand in the sealant may be replaced by materials providing heat or sound insulation, fire resistance; or increasing the depolarisation of the sealant. Used for preventing the penetration of water into buildings, terraces, or for sealing the walls and bases of ponds or pools.
