Abstract

The spray nozzle has a jet fixed at the lower free end of a vertical supply pipe for the liquid. The bottom of the jet (4) has an internal extension (8) towards the pipe (1) so that the inner end of the passage (9) is above the level of the bottom. The extension can be conical, or formed by an inserted component pressed into a sleeve portion and rounded at the free end. Where a liquid is used containing material in suspension, the design avoids having to clean the nozzles each time after use, since the area round the internal extension forms a sediment trap.
