Abstract

Procédé et dispositif de mesure d'allongement d'un matériau notamment un élastomère. Ce procédé est caractérisé par le fait que l'on réalise par moulage ou par découpage d'une plaque du matériau à soumettre à l'essai une éprouvette allongée présentant sensiblement une forme de I, que l'on suspend verticalement par son extrémité supérieure ladite éprouvette dans un récipient contenant un fluide, son autre extrémité étant mobile en étant guidée verticalement, l'éprouvette étant entièrement immergée dans le fluide, que l'on solidarise l'éprouvette au voisinage de ladite autre extrémité d'une tige métallique reliée à un capteur de déplacement, que l'on fait varier la température du fluide et que l'on affiche les résultats de la mesure d'allongement effectuée par le capteur de déplacement. Application notamment à la détermination des coefficients de dilatation ou de gonflement linéaire d'un élastomère dans un fluide tel qu'une huile.
