Abstract

An inflatable craft driven by an outboard motor is used for transporting a gun or mortar, ready for action. The gun is supported by a structure mounted on two inflatable cylinders positioned between the two inflatable side floats of the craft. The tubular legs of the structure carry a mounting plate arrangement at the tap, against which the gun is fastened. The bottoms of these legs are fastened to bracing tubes attached in turn to two shells each having a curved face to fit against one of the inflatable cylinders. The shells are tensioned around the cylinders by lacings. Stiffening gussets are incorporated between the lower tubular parts and the cylinders. The bottoms are then bolted to a platform supported between the side floats.
