Abstract

The rear wall is straight or curved and has a space behind it, for the flow of air to be heated, into which extra heat exchange surfaces can extend. The angled surfaces are also straight or curved and can form a zig-zag profile, the water pipes running beneath some of the peaks, in the space between the front surfaces and the rear wall. The device is designed to be mounted on a vertical wall, the necessary inclination in the collector surface being achieved by the angling of the front surfaces. The rear wall is spaced from the vertical wall, which is insulated and a transparent cover can be provided at the front, over the black heat-collecting surfaces.
