Abstract

The cardiac rhythm measuring appts. comprises a heart-beat detector connected to an emitter, and a clip securing the detector to the lobe of the user's ear. A housing with strap is secured to the user's wrist, and has a receiver for the emitter signals, together with a digital display unit. All or part of the detector and emitter can be accommodated in a housing shaped to fit behind the ear, or in two housings connected together. The appts is partic. for measurement during exertion, being unaffected by muscular contraction.
