Abstract

The plate (1) and straps (4, 5, 6) are used to hold a boot of any shape and size on to a base such as skate or ski. The plate is supple and accepts the front of the boot. It has holes in it through which the straps pass. The straps pass over the top of the boot, through holes in the bottom of the plate and then pass under the sole of the boot, through holes at the back of the plate and round the back of the heel. The straps can slide in the holes to allow the boot some movement.
