Il comporte plusieurs zones d'absorption différente, avec une zone centrale 2 parfaitement perméable ou à faible absorption; la zone 3 entourant cette partie centrale a une capacité d'absorption du flux lumineux comprise entre 30 % et 80 %. Application à la réalisation de lunettes pour la conduite automobile et pour les sports.
