Abstract

A frame (2) is carried by the three point links of a tractor and carries a fixed cylinder (4) which has a suction inlet opening (5). A fan (6) is mounted at the top and this discharges through opening (8). A shaft (10) mounted in bearings (9, 13) carries a perforated cylinder (11) which is rotatably driven via a gearbox and chain transmission. Small dia. rollers carried by pivotal arms are spring loaded against cylinder (11). Leaves sucked to cylinder (11) by the fan are gripped between the rollers and the cylinder and torn off due to advance of the machine.
