Abstract

The assembly is used to adjust the axial position of a steering wheel mounted on a fluted shaft (3). There is a fluted sleeve (4) sliding on the shaft and fixed to the steering wheel. There are stops, fixed axially to the sleeve. There are also stops on the steering column to match the others. These can be withdrawn to select another angular position of the steering wheel.
