Abstract
The dynamo supplies the bicycles headlamp and rear lamp when it is moved. The battery is only switched into circuit when the dynamo is not operative. The battery is charged by the dynamo only when the dynamo is not being used. The current from the dynamo is passed to a first invertor (6) having three terminals a, b, c. Terminal 'a' is connected to the dynamo and terminal 'c' to a second invertor (7) having six terminals d, e, f, g, h, i. Terminal 'd' is connected to invertor (6) terminal 'c', terminal 'e' to the lamps (2) and terminal 'i' to the dynamo. Terminal 'f' is connected to a voltage detector (5) which controls the invertor. Terminal 'h' is connected to a charger (3) which supplies a battery (4) which is connected to terminal 'b'. In daylight the invertor (7) is in the position shown and the battery is charged. At night the invertor (7) is in the operating position and the dynamo is operating at normal voltage.
