Abstract

The measurement of angles for trigonometric and geometric measurements in pedagogy is performed by metallic or plastics triangular shaped engraved plate with scales. A cursor permits measurements to be made. The triangular shaped plate is engraved with linear scale along hypotenuse while other sides have angular engravings. Semicircular scales have hypotenuse as diameter and a cursor slides between these semicircular scales. Holes (A, B, C, D) permit cards to suspend instrument in vertical plane with counterweight. A rule with pin holes permits measurements in triangulation.
