Abstract

The packing box is of cardboard or similar relatively stiff material, folded from a sheet. It comprises a central rectangular panel (1) forming the bottom, to the longer sides of which flaps (6, 7) are attached along fold lines to form the sidewalls, while other flaps attached to the ends form the top (8-11) and are extended sideways. Each sideways extension (17, 18) is joined by a fold line (21, 22) to its respective flap, and also has a diagonal fold line (15, 16) running from the intersection point of the lengthwise and transverse fold lines (2-5) along the bottom. On folding the sheet, the outer triangular portions so formed are fixed to the outsides of the upright walls.
