Abstract

Appareil d'éclairage, de signalisation et de décoration lumineuses. Il se caractérise essentiellement par le fait que la ou les sources lumineuses (lampes électriques à incandescence, à vapeur ou à gaz) sont enrobées dans une matière transparente ou translucide, souple ou rigide à l'état final (par exemple résine de polyester insaturé ou silicone élastomère), qui les protège de bon nombre d'agressions (vibrations, chocs, eau, poussière, hautes et basses températures etc.) et assure une diffusion homogène de la lumière dans la forme lumineuse qu'elle constitue. L'enrobage s'effectue par coulée dans un moule. L'appareil permet de réaliser toute sorte de forme lumineuse, éventuellement de longueur, surface ou volume, importants, ou de dessin complexe, particulièrement bien protégée et de pose simplifiée (réglette lumineuse souple ou rigide, panneaux lumineux de signalisation, lettres lumineuses, etc...).
