Abstract
L'invention a pour objet un nouveau catalyseur à base de nickel pour électrode de générateur électrochimique permettant l'oxydation électrochimique de l'hydrogène à son contact. Ce catalyseur est préparé par codépôt au cours d'une électrolyse, de nickel et d'au moins un autre métal capable de se déposer au cours de ladite électrolyse avec une structure offrant au nickel une grande surface de dépôt eu égard à la quantité de ce métal devant se déposer, le codépôt se faisant sur une électrode-support constituée de telle sorte que le nickel et le - ou lesdits métaux devant se codéposer avec celui-ci puissent s'y déposer au cours de l'électrolyse du ou des métaux codéposés avec le nickel. Ce nouveau catalyseur n'est pas oxydable ou est au plus oxydable sous l'effet de surtensions anodiques.
