Abstract

A jacket part (4), which is intended to surround the upper part of the small child's body, is fastened to the edge of a body-insert opening (5) made in the cover part (2) of the safety blanket (1). To prevent the small child from being able to move into a position which is unfavourable for it, the cover part (2) is provided on the rear side of the body-insert opening with a holding strap (9), to the ends of which on each side there are attached holding devices (14), by means of which the position of the safety blanket (1) relative to the bed frame of the child's cot can be secured. The holding strap (9) is located in the interior of a pocket which is arranged transversely with respect to the cover part (2) and permits a limited displaceability between cover part (2) and holding strap (9).
