Abstract
Pile lithium-iode. Elle comprend un boîtier en matière électriquement conductrice, une anode comprenant un élément de lithium du boîtier, un conducteur électrique relié activement à l'élément de lithium et sortant du boîtier, et une cathode constituée par une matière iodée en contact actif à la fois avec le boîtier et l'élément de lithium Le conducteur électrique d'anode est entièrement isolé du reste de la pile, et le boîtier constitue le collecteur de courant de cathode. La surface active de l'anode comporte un revêtement de matière organique donneuse d'électrons. L'anode est enfermée dans un élément isolant dans le boîtier et un embout dont une extrémité est à l'intérieur de l'isolateur et l'autre extrémité sort du boîtier. Applications : notamment à l'alimentation électrique des stimulateurs cardiaques.
