Abstract

Procédé de préparation de fibres minérales à base de sulfate de calcium presentant un rapport longueur des fibres/diamètre de ces fibres de plus de 50/1 et une longueur d'au moins 0,2 mm. Il se caractérise par le fait que l'on transforme le sulfate de calcium en fibres de sulfate de calcium dihydraté, semi-hydraté ou d'anhydrite dans des solutions aqueuses de donneurs de protons, des solutions de sels ou dans des mélanges de celles-ci, de façon isothermique à des températures de 40 à 120 degrés C en présence d'une phase solide. Application des fibres à base de sulfate de calcium ainsi obtenues comme additifs pour l'amélioration des propriétes mécaniques et l'ignifugution notamment de : matières synthétiques, papier, carton, liants minéraux, tissus, carrelage et tapis isolants.Process for the preparation of mineral fibers based on calcium sulphate having a fiber length / diameter ratio of more than 50/1 and a length of at least 0.2 mm.
