Abstract

L'invention s'applique à un raccord de tuyauterie du type comprenant une douille de matière plastique et une bague élastique d'étanchéité fixée dans l'ouverture de la douille. La matière de l'un au moins des éléments du raccord est irradiée, avant ou après le moulage de cet élément, avec un rayonnement très pénétrant, en particulier un rayonnement très pénétrant, en particulier un rayonnement d'électrons, pour provoquer une réticulation dans la matière. De préférence, le procédé de fabrication comprend le moulage d'une bague d'étanchéité d'élastomère thermoplastique, le moulage d'une douille thermoplastique directement sur cette bague d'étanchéité et l'irradiation de l'ensemble pour produire une réticulation dans l'élastomère thermoplastique, ce qui améliore les propriétés de déformation à la compression de la bague d'étanchéité.
