Abstract

L'invention concerne l'industrie chimique Elle a pour objet un catalyseur pour la production d'un oxyde d'alkylène par oxydation de l'oléfine correspondante au moyen d'oxygène, qui comprend de l'argent sur un support poreux résistant à la chaleur, outre du potassium et au moins un autre métal alcalin choisi parmi le rubidium et le césium, le potassium, le rubidium et le césium se présentant sous une forme susceptible d'une extraction par contact avec de l'eau. Le catalyseur de l'invention est préféré pour la production d'oxyde d'éthylène ou de propylène à partir d'éthylène ou de propylène.
