Abstract

The metering pump, the purpose of which is to create inside the same an increase in pressure on the liquid such as to permit use as carbon dioxide propellant under relatively low pressures, provides a pair of pistons (27, 30). One of these pistons (30) exhibits an obturator (33) which seals against a seating (37) of the other piston (27). In the active stroke of the pump, when an elastically deformable apron (31) of the piston (30) slides, sealingly, along a tubular guidance appendage (25) present in the cylinder (20, 21) in which the pistons (27, 30) move, resulting in the elastic deformation of the apron (31), thus creating a pocket of liquid, and giving rise to the moving away of the obturator (33) from the seating (37) and consequently the dispensing of the product in atomised form.
