Abstract

Arbre tournant porte-couteaux 5 pour débiter des copeaux de bois d'une longueur déterminée, comportant des couteaux obliques présentant des arêtes coupantes externes calées sur un même cercle 7. Chaque couteau présente une succession d'arêtes coupantes externes dans le sens radial, alternant en peigne avec d'autres arêtes en retrait dans le sens radial. Les arêtes en retrait sont réalisées dans des rainures dorsales de largeur appropriée et de profondeur << X >> différents, variables dans le sens de la longueur du couteau (comme le montre la figure groupant schématiquement trois coupes, des extrémités et du milieu d'un même couteau). La rainure de moindre profondeur << X >> est réalisée du côté de l'extrémité Vc du couteau qui attaque en premier. Application aux arbres porte-couteaux, pour augmenter leur débit de copeaux d'épaisseur régulière, et faciliter la réalisation et l'affûtage des couteaux de débit.
