Abstract
The shoe identification system has two parts. Each part has a lace hole in its lateral edge. A shoelace is threaded through the holes so as to cross over from one part to the other. The system has a longitudinal plate having a frontal display surface (18) and rear surface. The plate or plaque has button holes or stud holes in it which form an opening at each longitudinal end. The lace (17) can be passed through a button hole from the front lace in the direction of the rear face. Then pass along the rear face to come out through the other buttonhole. The shoe is thus fitted with a display surface which is designed to display the manufacturers name for example.
