Abstract

La présente invention concerne un procédé de préparation d'un combustible gazeux à base de monoxyde de carbone. Le procédé de l'invention se caractérise par le fait que l'on fait réagir, à une température de l'ordre de 1100 degrés C, du carbone avec un carbonate de formule MCO3 , M représentant le cation d'un métal alcalin ou alcalino-terreux, ce qui conduit à la formation de l'oxyde métallique correspondant MO et de monoxyde de carbone CO. La réaction du carbonate MCO3 avec le carbone est de préférence conduite dans un four solaire dont la température est de l'ordre de 1100 degrés C. Application, notamment à la récupération du carbone contenu dans les carbonates naturels tels que le calcaire.
